Wirral Open Studios Tour 2017

IMG_4124This year over 60 artists are taking part across Wirral in 36 venues – shared spaces and studios – on 10-11 June (Saturday 10-5 Sunday 11-5). You can download the brochure with listings and maps here or pick up a printed version from any of the artists or venues across Wirral.

I’m delighted to not only be opening my studio in New Brighton for the second year running, but also to be sharing it with ceramicist Jo Williams of Heavenly Vessels for the weekend. Jo says: “My work is mostly inspired by landscapes as I see them or based on people; both of these things have been a constant for me all of my life. I love the process of making pots, of using my hands whether it is throwing or hand building. I love using combinations of my favourite methods of working, making marks on the surface of leather hard clay and being spontaneous and intuitive.”

You can view my page on the tour website here I hope you’ll agree our work sits well together – in one of our recent conversations we both commented that since arranging to share space we have each noticed the influence of the other in our own work. If you’d like to visit, details are listed in the brochure at Venue 22, New Brighton.
